The Finance Department is responsible for all the Financial Accounting and Reporting for the Parish Government. Maintaining Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable laws and regulations we oversee the management of all accounts payable/long term dept/accounts receivable/fixed assets/capital outlay/grants management/human resources/payroll for all departments. Records Management and Retention is also another duty of the Finance Department.

• The Collection and custody of monies of the parish government and their proper disbursement in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and the Home Rule Charter
• Preparation of annual operating and capital improvement budgets for all departments within the parish government
• Preparation of audited annual financial statements for the primary government
